I am participating in a creativity challenge where I get to create one index card a day based on guidelines provided by Daisy Yellow. It is a great way to kick off my summer and try new art materials. The prompts I am using for this challenge can be found on this Daisy Yellow Link.
Materials: I used Derwent Inktense water-soluble ink pencils and Faber-Castell Gelato water-soluble sticks. Then I sprayed some water on it and gentle moved the water with a water color brush.
Review: I really like how the Inktense pencils activated with the water and popped out the color…the reds, orange, yellow and greens. The Gelatos did not activate the same way the Inktense pencils did the purple and blues in the center of this index card nor did the color move around the surface as the Inktense pencil color did. I look forward to experimenting more with these materials in future ICADs.
