29 Faces in May; Face 17

In Face 17 I used a female image reference from a fashion magazine. I mostly sketched her in a #2hb pencil; then I shaded various areas with a woodless graphite pencil 8b.  With a paper stump and eraser, I refined the shading details in her dress and hair. I took a great deal of time looking at the light and dark areas in the image to make certain I could match them in my sketch. I feel this was a very successful piece.
